Military stalkers, Duty, Freedom, Loners, very very rarely offer anything to say outside of a scripted mission. which is repeated by every other NPC not using the above line. In some areas there may be some other flavour dialogue. The only question you can ask them is something along the lines of 'Can you tell me something?' to which they all reply 'Nothing just trying to make it'.
There are very few 'special' characters with unique dialogue, which leaves 95% of the game world populated with 'random' NPCs who have nothing to say. how do I explain it, the concepts are solid but the execution is lackluster.įor example, the primary way to interact with NPC's (besides shooting them) is a traditional text conversation system, where most characters are NOT voice acted (which is fine). Anyway, technical issues aside (because stuff like animations can't be fixed and most other technical issues have largely been addressed with mods and the like), a lot of the game play is. It's kind of like going to a restuarant with amazing food but god awful customer service you put up with the rude waiters and staff because where else are you going to get food so good. The bottom line is it provides a unique experience which isn't covered by any other games out there, unfortunately it's got some (at this stage rather negligable) technical issues, but IMO some rather large shortcomings.
